Hannah Ayers and Lance Warren are Emmy-winning, married documentary filmmakers working at the intersection of history and social justice. Their company, Field Studio, has been based in Richmond, Virginia, since 2014. Their work includes An Outrage, about the history and legacy of lynching in the American South, and the PBS series The Future of America's Past, which explores how artists, activists, and curators remember complex chapters of American history. Their first feature-length film, How the Monuments Came Down, premiered in the summer of 2021 and is available to stream on PBS.org.
